Standards for the Playground

Use restrooms at the beginning of recess and get drinks before the bell
Eat snacks at bench area only
- No sodas, candy or gum for snacks
Stay in your own play area
- No playing in hallways, bathrooms or near classrooms
Use equipment appropriately
- No climbing on top of play structures
- No handball games against buildings
Play safely
- No wrestling, play fighting, tag, chase games or contact sports
Play fairly and take turns
- Let anyone play who wants to join in
- Make sure everyone knows the rules
Freeze when the bell rings - No drinks or bathrooms after the freeze bell
- No talking; listen for a whistle
- Return equipment and walk to line
